Blog #9, Is Bollywood Coming to Hollywood?

On Sunday night, film "Slumdog Millionaire" won 8 oscars. The film was intended on being a Staight to DVD film. The film is not entirly a "bollywood film". The directer is American, and the leading actor is from England. All though somewhere around 1000 films come out of Indias giant film industry every year, non are big enough to hit the big screne in america. But this film as come to America, and with a big result to it.

Blog #8, Treatment for bird flu succeeds in mice

A new treatment for the flu is now tested for victims that have the bird flu. It is the use of antibodies. The antibodies treat all types of the flu. The new treatment for the bird flu is still being perfected since it has not been tested on people yet. it is going to soon which will save many lives in foreign countries

Blog #7, Birds Shifting North; Global Warming Cited

Global Warming is effecting everyone, and everything in this world. A new study shows how birds are being majorly effected by this horrible event. For example, since tempetures have been getting warming, the purple finch has been spending its winters 400 miles further north than ushally because of warm tempetures. The purple finch is not the only bird that is being effected by this; somewhere around 350 different specieces of birds are spending there winters at least 40 miles more north than they would 40 years ago.

Blog #6, Obama Plan For Hope

Americas new President, Barack Obama, told a huge crowd of supports at a pre-inaugration rally about how "Anything Is Possible In America". Obama stated that as the U.S fights 2 wars, and tries to fix a crippled economy, he is going to be "hopeful" to make new and better plans to put America back on track. He said that solving Americas problems will take time, and the road will be a long steep climb, but evetually he will insure that America is back on track.

Blog #4 More Schools Trying Separation of the Sexes

Michael Alison; an author for the Washington Post, wrote an article about schools that are trying to seperate sexes at an early age in schools. Some schools are starting to do this because male and females brains learn in different fashions from the other. The teachers will seperate the girls in one room and the boys in the other, and teach them in a way that they brains will learn and retain information better. Some scientist believe that this is not a good solution to teaching the kids because in the long run, it will make the kids not adapt to the other sex as well.

Blog #3 Electric Cars From Stimulus Package

Thanks to Obama, realising the new stimulus package, ables for electric cars to be given a tax break. This Package ables for producers of electric cars to produce more for the public. The package also states that 50,000 cars from a single company will be given complete tax reduction so that they can make more of them for a cheaper price. The package also says that any larger gas guzzling car are put with a larger tax, so that they will stop being produced.

Blog #2, Russian, And U.S Satelites Collide 500 miles above earth

Two satelites, One U.S, and the other Russians, collided 500 miles above serbia. The collision created a massive debris cloud. The two salelites have created 500-600 pieces of exetremly expensive material in space. The ISS, said that the debris should not cause any threats to earth. The collision was very rare, and is the first collision between satelites.
